YAMAtune co-sponsored the "8th Snow Endurance Race," a competition in three categories: Snow run, Snowshoe Run, and Snow Bike under the crisp cold weather of Kamuy Ski Resort, Hokkaido.
The Snow run course goes around 2km laps, for a total distance of 5 or 10km. Unlike ordinary road races, the feet placement is crucial and will determine the race's outcome due to the instability of the terrain brought by the accumulated snow. The Snowshoe run requires special equipment called snowshoes, also known as "Western KANJIKI", attached to the running shoe's sole. It brings an increased airflow on the snow and allows to climb up and down the slopes with ease. The ski-lift takes all runners to the top of the mountain. From there, they run in a forest with challenging ups and downs, totalling 5 or 10km.
Snowbikes as a sport is growing rapidly and attracting action sports athletes and fans. Mountain bikes are intended to run on unpaved roads such as mountains. The tires are thick, and the rubber is blocked to prevent slipping on the terrain. It is now possible to drive without sinking in the snow.
The YAMAtune Spider Arch Socks make effective use of the "sole and five fingers" that control the balance, run up like a snow grab and slide down the sole with an exquisite balance. To illustrate this fact, the mountain rescue team wears our socks exclusively in Kamuy Ski Resort.
On winter roads where you have a bad footing, you can balance your entire body by sharpening the sensations transmitted from the soles and toes. Why don't you turn your attention to these exercises, walking/running, that people usually do unconsciously?
